Newscasting Competition
General rules :

Maximum capacity is 30 participants

All of participants must be at the competition venue 15 minutes before the competition start
News Casting is a competition where the participants will deliver news as professional anchors on television. We will have 3 Rounds:

First Round
News Reading, committee give 2 articles. Participants have to make their own news from the articles. Participants will read two news interchangeably.

Second Round
Weather Forecast, Participants will bring a weather forecast with no script, the map will be shown. Participants should describe the map in their way.

Final Round
Live Report; Participant will deliver a live report with no script. The video will be given by the committee after announcement of who will be in final round.
Times Of The Performance:

Timing will begin with the first word uttered by the participant which would include any other communication such as sound effects, a staged act, etc.

The maximum time for delivering their news varies in each round. If a participant exceeds the performing time given, 3 points will be deducted from maximum 30 seconds of the exceeding time.

Time keeper shall provide warning signals to the participants by showing the remaining time in a piece of paper.

No signal shall be given for overtime period.

The scoring criteria of this competition are performance, material, and ability in English. The objectives of this competition are to train the participants to gain their English-speaking ability and facilitate them to explore their interests in becoming professional news anchors.
